On Monday, November 11, the Toronto Heschel School students took part in the annual Poetry Festival. We all participated in different activities in which we wrote poetry in both Hebrew and English, using different poetic devices. It was a fun opportunity for students to express themselves in their writing outside the classroom and for students to be creative and learn something new! At the end of the day, students returned to their classes, and got to relax, drink Heschel hot chocolate, and listen to their peers recite poems that they worked hard to memorize.
