This year’s Junior High (JH) orientation was so much fun.

On the first day, instead of the teachers explaining the rules of the Junior High, they performed skits that explained derekh eretz and why it is important at Heschel. I felt that all of the students were more involved in the orientation because at the end of each skit we guessed the derekh eretz problem and had a chance to discuss and come up with solutions. At the end of that session we had a fun barbecue outside.

On the second day, we had different activities outside like team building with the shinshinim and gardening with Moreh Daniel. We also took part in a workshop about technology and how to use email and Google Docs.

I liked the activities and the skits that we did at the orientation and hope that each year the orientation will be different and more fun than the year before.
