What’s Jewish About Butterflies?
Program Description: Sign up for a mostly outdoor (but partly indoor) program that will explore nature through a Jewish lens. This nature program will integrate basic science, art, and literacy skills. We will bring out our magnifying glasses, rulers, and sketchbooks to observe and understand the world around us. There will be time for quiet reading, writing, and reflection during a much-needed rest from the sun. And don’t be surprised if we get a little wet while watering the Heschel garden!

INSPIRING WONDER

Creative Play
Program Description: Each day will have a theme with a related story, arts and crafts and/or students acting out parts of the story. We will also incorporate a combination of outdoor and indoor play, and snack time. Sessions will be conducted in English and Hebrew, and encourage Hebrew conversation by playing and/or creating games.

INSPIRING JOY

Mini Camp
Program Description: Immerse yourself in a fun and experiential topic of the day! Move your bodies in dance and drama; create in arts & crafts; listen to and tell stories; discover in nature; build with imagination.

INSPIRING CREATIVITY

Yoga & Mindfulness
Program Description: This program will explore yoga and mindfulness through movement, stories, games, and art. We will develop self-awareness and calming strategies in a fun and engaging way.

INSPIRING MINDFULNESS

Sports
Program Description: In this sports program, children will continue to work on the skills they have developed during the year and participate in friendly games of soccer, baseball and basketball. We will also work on strength, agility and endurance through workout routines and fun physical activities.

INSPIRING EXCELLENCE

Watch, Learn, Create
Program Description: This course’s focus is to work with our students on the development of their abstract thinking and reasoning ability. We spark an interest in mathematics by exploring numbers and the connections between them, studying geometric shapes, practicing math language development, and developing problem-solving skills. All that will be done in a Fun, Creative and Engaging manner to ensure your kids get the best experience during their summer break.

INSPIRING CURIOSITY

Basic Principles of Photography
Program Description: Exploring photography ideas of abstract, perspective, contrast, foreground/middle ground/background, as well as using photography to tell a story.

INSPIRING IMAGINATION

Nature Program
Program Description: Experience diverse activities and a world of new adventures. Through nature and ecosystem learning, short hikes, gardening, games, crafts, and survival skills in nature, your child will gain valuable social skills while making new friends along the way. From building a campfire to essential camping skills and games galore, the camper will develop a respect for nature and others while exploring the world around them.

INSPIRING תיקון עולם

Cooking
Program Description: Come cook with Morah Sefi some great recipes in Ivrit! Impress your family with fresh dishes and new vocabulary! We will cook, create a cookbook, and have fun, learning in the process! Beteavon!

INSPIRING CONFIDENCE

Colourful Fabric Printing with Fruits and Vegetables
Program Description: Join us in discovering the textures of fruits and vegetables we use in our daily lives. Morah Mika and Morah Orna (Morah Mika’s mom and fibre artist) will lead us in colour mixing and printing on fabric using apples, oranges, garlic, onions and much more. Students will develop their own designs to be printed on to fabric, mix colours to fulfill their artistic vision and print a colourful pattern on the fabric using the fruits and vegetables they selected. *Students should bring a snack, a shirt they can get paint on, a water bottle
Dates: two 1-day sessions on July 14th and 21st from 10:00-12:00
Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (2 hours)

Once you complete the form below, you will be directed to the PayPal website where you can complete the registration. To secure your spot, payment must be received via PayPal.
There are limited spaces available due to provincial restrictions on how many children can be in a group. A waiting list will be created if a session fills up.
If camp cannot run for any reason, you will be refunded in the following ways:
- If the program has not yet begun, you will be refunded the full amount of the fee, less a 10% fee to cover administrative costs.
- If the program has already begun, you will be refunded for the days missed less a 20% fee to cover administrative and teacher preparation costs.

* Because spaces are limited, we cannot offer refunds for withdrawals after registration that are not due to COVID related factors, unless we are able to fill your spot.
Note: Programs require a minimum enrollment to run. If a program does have sufficient enrollment to run, you will be refunded the full fee, or you can transfer the fee to another program.
