Student Support Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities
Develop IEP’s, Communicate IEP’s to teachers, and follow up with teachers and families as needed
Mentor teachers to run effective differentiated classrooms.
Observe children in classrooms to make recommendations.
Lead Child Study/ Special Education meetings – dialogue with teachers, track, and coordinate observations of children
Liaison with school leadership on key child study issues
Provide remedial or other resource support to small groups or individual children.
Make referrals and help identify necessary resources.
