Student Support Coordinator Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop IEP’s, Communicate IEP’s to teachers, and follow up with teachers and families as needed
  • Mentor teachers to run effective differentiated classrooms.
  • Observe children in classrooms to make recommendations.
  • Lead Child Study/ Special Education meetings – dialogue with teachers, track, and coordinate observations of children
  • Liaison with school leadership on key child study issues
  • Provide remedial or other resource support to small groups or individual children.
  • Make referrals and help identify necessary resources.
