Physical Building

Child study will ensure best practices in positive classroom management, healthy social emotional experience and enrichment and support when necessary. Child study is important to all students— not just those who need extra support – as a means to foster a healthy community of engaged, curious and successful learners.

Short Term

  • Given the school’s growing enrolment and the age of its building and systems, a new committee will be struck to examine the school’s infrastructure needs, including physical space, systems, technology infrastructure and green space.
  • The committee will identify and examine options to improve the physical infrastructure – balancing budget and needs – and present the alternatives to the Board during 2018 – 2019 school year

Medium Term / Long Term

  • These options will depend on what is identified as above.

 


 

Integration of Technology

Child study will ensure best practices in positive classroom management, healthy social emotional experience and enrichment and support when necessary. Child study is important to all students— not just those who need extra support – as a means to foster a healthy community of engaged, curious and successful learners.

Short Term

  • Under the leadership of the Head of School, undertake a comprehensive analysis of the school’s use of educational technology and determine areas of need or improvement.

Medium Term / Long Term

  • Under the leadership of the Head of School:
    • Explore new technologies that are consistent with the school’s philosophy and needs and test them in the classroom
    • Establish a technology implementation plan, including financial requirements and roll-out priorities
    • Identify alumni and parent resources for innovative technologies.
    • Assess linking Toronto Heschel to appropriate Jewish technology entities
