On Sunday February 26th, we had the pleasure of attending the first Zimriyah since 2020, presented by the Julia & Henry Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Education. Zimriyah brings together choirs from the many Jewish day schools and part-time education programs across the GTA.  This year, the performance took place at Beth Tzedec Congregation with all the students in The Toronto Heschel School choirs.

We played percussion for the heart-warming Elementary choir and performed Shema Yisrael and then the Shehecheyanu blessing to the tune of the popular song Hey Baby. We also sang with the incredible Junior High choir, which performed an impressive mash-up of a Hebrew and an English song, Cholem Kmo Yosef by Hanan Ben Ari and Could Have Been Me popularized in the Movie Sing 2. We had so much fun!
