We are very pleased and excited to inform you that The Toronto Heschel School has been approved as a participant in the new Canada Wide Early Learning and Child Care System (CWELCC)!
The implementation of the CWELCC System is a 5-year plan which includes improving affordability, enhancing quality, increasing childcare access, supporting inclusion, and supporting data reporting. The Province of Ontario has committed to implementing the system in stages.
The first two years will look as follows:
- 2022: A fee reduction of 25% retroactive to September 2022 (since we became a licensed childcare in August 2022)
- 2023: A 50% fee reduction
All families with students in our licensed classrooms (Preschool, JK and SK) are eligible for the fee reduction.
The next step is for our team to start processing the refunds. This process will commence when we receive the funds from the City of Toronto.
As more information is received, we will keep you informed regarding refund/payment structuring.
