The Heschel Gallery is a Heschel Hive column that appears at the end of every rotation throughout the year. It features students’ artwork with an explanation of the project by Morah Lisa for context. This is a wonderful way to appreciate the diversity and beauty of the students’ creations!

Grade 3 students have been learning about how healthy ecosystems work, with many interacting and interwoven factors. What better way to bring this learning to life than with a weaving project!

In the art room, students imagined the diverse elements that exist within a single ecosystem, choosing different colours of yarn to represent each one.

Then, they used a loom to weave these elements together into a beautiful tapestry.
