Just one week ago all of grade six hopped on a bus and drove three hours away to camp Gesher. It was worth the wait though. After a tour and a quick lunch break the first thing we did was hop into the lake, climb a giant inflatable and jump off back into the lake. That night we made smores and told scary stories.

The next day was even better, we woke up early and got on another bus, this time we went to Bon Echo, a HUGE lake with a mountain view. Then we got into canoes and went on a canoeing expedition. We saw indigenous art painted on the mountain sides and even saw a bat.

Then we got back to camp and went in the lake again but this time the swimming was cut short because there was a water snake (we named him as well)! We also saw frogs, land snakes and hawks on this trip.

On the third day we packed our things and got on the bus back to Heschel but things didn’t go as planned. Only one hour in we parked at a gas station in the middle of nowhere because the bus broke down. We then went to a grassy shady part off the road. But it wasn’t all bad because we got popsicles and pretty soon a new bus came and we got to Heschel.
