Jewish Day School Scholarship applications for the 2023/24 school year are now open.  Scholarships, where applicable, are awarded in the form of reduced tuition fees based on each family’s financial situation.

Both new and returning families can see if they qualify and receive an estimate of how much they can expect to pay in tuition fees in just a few minutes by using UJA’s quick and anonymous Scholarship Calculator. Visit dayschoolscholarships.ca to learn more about eligibility and the application process.

There are a few new points to note about the application process this year:

  1. No longer will you need to determine in advance if you qualify for the Generations Trust Scholarship or traditional Tuition Assistance. The new and simplified UJA Community Scholarships portal will guide you to the Day School Scholarship application that’s right for your family!
  2. You can now apply with your most recently issued T1 tax return (from 2021) for the 2023-2024 school year.
  3. Current families must submit their applications by Monday, December 5, 2022 to learn what their total tuition fees will be prior to Heschel’s continuous enrollment opt-out deadline of March 15, 2023.

Want to learn more about tuition affordability options, including the updated Day School Scholarship application system? UJA Federation Toronto will be hosting two virtual information sessions on November 8 and 10 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm to help you learn more about your options and the application process and to have your questions answered.

Register for a virtual information session now at https://jewishtoronto.com/programs/day-school-scholarships-webinar.

Day School Scholarships are made possible through a partnership between The Toronto Heschel School and UJA’s Julia & Henry Koschitzky Centre for Jewish Education.

Interest-Free Loans for Day School Families

There is another option to help you fund your children’s day school education.
