This week’s parashah is Parashat Vayeleich.  As the people stand looking over the Jordan into the Land of Israel, Moshe says to them: “Be strong and courageous.”  “God goes with you, and will not let go of you, nor abandon you.”   This message resonates with us as we head into the Awesome Day of Yom Kippur.  May we be strong and courageous as we do our deepest Cheshbon Hanefesh, considering where we have missed the mark or caused harm or hurt to others.  In Senior Kindergarten, students have been learning about Jonah, who lost his courage and fled from the task of teshuvah.  They talked about being brave and taking risks.
