The Communications committee, a part of the student council dedicated to making the Heschel Yearbook, has been working diligently throughout the year to ensure that our 2018-2019 yearbook is the best it can be. Remarkable student leaders along with staff and committee members have spent their time and effort to create and personalize this phenomenal book of memories. In order to raise money, the fundraising sub-committee organized student-run after school workshops for the younger grades in the school. Students from Jk to grade 3 were welcome to pay a fee of $10 to participate in clinics such as dance, soccer, baking, basketball and arts and crafts. In each clinic, students learned new skills such as how to dribble a soccer ball, decorate delicious treats, and create their own choreography. They received the additional opportunity to bond with students from the older grades, who they normally don’t see throughout a regular school day. It was an amazing experience for both the student leaders and the participants.
