Over the last few months, the Heschel Rikudiyah dancers have dedicated their lunch recess period on Wednesday afternoons to learn numerous dances to perform at the J Rikudiyah: Children’s Dance Festival. In addition to learning 5 dances, the students worked cooperatively with some guidance from instructors Morah Sigal Cohen and Morah Marissa Unruh to choreograph the steps to the song Hashanah Inshalla. The students’ hard work and commitment really paid off.
On Sunday, April 14, the Heschel dancers gathered together with other schools from the GTA Jewish community and performed so beautifully at this amazing celebration of Israeli dance, song and culture!
