The Heschel Hornets team ran their hearts out at this year’s Cross Country meet, competing with various Jewish day schools across the city. Our athletes thrilled us by bringing home 2 golds, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze in a talented field of runners!

Our team showed that Cross Country is more than just individual performance. Though not a traditional team sport, our runners demonstrated derech eretz—respect, kindness, and integrity—by cheering each other on and supporting their peers. Their sportsmanship and dedication embodied our school’s values and reminded us that teamwork is about standing together, no matter the individual outcome.

A special thank you to Moreh David for the many hours he devoted to training our Cross Country runners; your guidance and passion made this achievement possible. Thank you to all our runners for representing The Toronto Heschel School with pride, derech eretz, and resilience. We couldn’t be prouder!
