COVID Updates

January 13, 2022

Please note the following items:

  • Heschel is offering online learning to children who must isolate or whose parents choose to keep them home.
  • Children travelling abroad cannot attend school for 14 days upon their return. This infographic explains the federal requirements.
  • Prior to arriving at school each day, please use the Parent Locker screening tool.
  • Information about current COVID-19 cases in our school will be communicated through the Parent Locker, which we encourage you to check regularly.
  • In the event that a cohort must move to virtual learning, or close temporarily, all families in that cohort will be notified.

Stay safe and healthy with these tips and resources:

  • Stay two metres apart from people who are not part of your household.
  • Wear a mask indoors and outdoors where physical distancing is difficult.
  • Stay home and get tested if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, even if mild.
  • Use contactless ways to greet others and show affection, replacing handshakes, hugs, and kisses.
  • Keep your in-person social circle small and limited.
  • Avoid the 3 Cs: closed spaces, crowded places, and close contact
  • Get vaccinated—it is still the best protection against COVID-19. Click here for more information about vaccination and booster shots. Click this link to book an appointment for your child.
