Student Voice

My favorite project at Heschel was the beautiful triangles project because I got to express myself through math and art.

Elementary Years (Grades 1-5)

ImageThe integrated curriculum in the Elementary Division offers a meaningful and challenging learning experience. The nurturing and highly qualified teachers support the learning experience and bring the curriculum to life through the senses, through thought provoking discussions and through hands-on activities.

Throughout the curriculum, the emphasis is on critical thinking and inquiry-based learning. The elementary students become fluent readers, thoughtful writers, proficient mathematicians, confident scientists, and inspired artists, rooted in Jewish values and knowledge. These are important years for establishing the habits and interests that foster life-long learning.
The students learn to love learning while acquiring the necessary skills to become engaged Jewish and global citizens.

In a controversy, the instant we feel anger, we have already ceased striving for truth and have begun striving for ourselves.
